Hunnington Distillery
Hunnington Distillery latest triple distilled single malt has been released. It was aged a little over two years in a thirty seven litre Spanish sherry barrel. There are only 87 500ml bottles. Its alcohol strength is 46.0%.
Once again Bill Lark very kindly wrote some tasting notes, this is what he said:
Nose
A big gentle nose at 46% abv offering beautiful notes of shortbread and malt with a delightfully spicy back note.
Taste
A wonderfully velvet like palate experience upfront. A delicious fudge rich in chocolate fruit and nuts building boldly across the palate, rich, complexity of oak, malt and candy. The whisky settles nicely into a beautifully balanced long and warm finish.
