To showcase new up and coming whisky producing talent in the states South the Tasmanian Whisky Producers Association (TWPA) is hosting a regional dinner where younger, lesser known distilleries, many of which are yet to release officially whisky, will have the chance to tell the stories of how they got to where they are and where they see themselves and the broader industry going. The evening will be hosted by Todd Morrison of Destination Cellars and feature the teams from Nonesuch Distillery and Shene Estate & Distillery — in addition to guest speeches and tastings from:
Peter Bignell, Belgrove Distillery
Bill McHenry, McHenry Distillery
Cam Brett, Spring Bay Distillery
Dean Jackson, Redlands Distillery
After a welcome drink on arrival, the three-course dinner will be expertly matched by Frogmore Creek’s award winning wines. Between courses, expect distillery progress reports, first release sneak peaks, tasting of new make and maturing spirits, good times and stories aplenty — this is a behind the scenes industry event no kind of whisky enthusiast will want to miss.
When: Friday 11th August
Where: Frogmore Creek Winery, Cambridge
Time: 6:30 pm — 11:00 pm
Cost: $155 per person
